InkLink Studio is a local web control environment for Quote/0. The browser is the only user interface: over USB, it can edit screens, inspect sensors and device settings, manage Wi-Fi and BLE, back up Flash, and install bundled or local firmware without a cloud service or separate backend.
Features
- Browser-based screen editor: Positions and styles text, image, and sensor layers
- Monochrome image processing: Includes cropping, scaling, grayscale-to-1-bit conversion, and multiple dithering algorithms
- Device state and settings: Reads battery, chip temperature, USB state, uptime, and available memory, then configures connections and refresh behavior
- Project import and export: Saves and moves complete screen projects as JSON
- Browser flashing and backup: Downloads a complete 4 MB Flash backup and installs bundled or local firmware
- Autonomous refresh: After saving a screen and policy, the device can continue refreshing from battery power without the browser
You can use the hosted web app, run the web project locally, or deploy it with Docker.
Compatibility and flashing
Web Serial requires desktop Chrome or Edge, and the page must run in an HTTPS or localhost secure context. Browser flashing replaces the device firmware. Use it only after confirming the same board pinout, UC8251D display, and 4 MB Flash, and download a complete backup first.
