Pico Page

Before you start

Prepare a sufficiently charged Read Pico, a computer running desktop Chrome or Edge, and a USB-C data cable. Close other webpages, flashing tools, or terminals using the device's serial port.

Prepare a microSD card, up to 512 GB, formatted as FAT32.

Open the installer

Visit the Pico Page website, click 安装固件 (Install firmware), and open the installer. Read the installation notes.

Connect and install

Connect Read Pico over USB. Click 连接设备 (Connect device), select its serial port, confirm 我确认连接的是 Read Pico (I confirm this is Read Pico), then click 安装 Pico Page (Install Pico Page).

Installation overwrites the entire device flash, including the existing system and internal settings such as Wi-Fi. Books on the microSD card are unaffected. The installer refuses devices with flash encryption or secure boot enabled.

Keep USB connected, the page open, and the computer awake until installation finishes and the device restarts to the library.

Add books and fonts

Copy EPUB and TXT books into Books/ on the microSD card. Put Chinese TTF or OTF fonts and their licenses in Fonts/. The built-in character set is limited; use a full Chinese font if characters appear as boxes.

Reinsert the card, restart the device, open a book, and tap the center of the text to select a font under 排版 (Typography). See the website documentation for more controls.
