CrossLink

Read with a pixel-style interface on Read Pico. CrossLink Pixel focuses on e-ink refresh and Chinese text layout.

Thank you to the CrossLink team for bringing the CrossLink Pixel reading system to Read Pico.

Before you start

Prepare a sufficiently charged Read Pico, a computer running desktop Chrome or Edge, and a USB-C data cable. Close other webpages, flashing tools, or terminals using the device's serial port.

Installation replaces the current system and may clear existing settings. Save any data you want to keep and read the installation notes on the website.

Open the website

Open the CrossLink website in Chrome or Edge on your computer and go to 刷入CrossLink系统 (Flash CrossLink System).

Select your device

Under 选择设备型号 (Select device model), select 小纸Pico (Read Pico).

Select CrossLink Pixel

Under 选择固件版本 (Select firmware version), select CrossLink Pixel. Its pixel-style theme focuses on reading, with optimizations for e-ink refresh and Chinese text layout.

Check the website for available systems and version numbers.

Connect and install

Connect Read Pico to your computer with the USB data cable and click 刷入全量包 (Flash full package). In the browser's device picker, select Read Pico's serial port and click Connect. The device may appear as USB JTAG.

If you are unsure which entry to use, cancel the picker, unplug and reconnect the device, and look for the newly added port.

Wait for installation to finish

Progress appears below the installer. Keep USB connected and the page open. Do not unplug the cable, close the tab, or let your computer go to sleep.

Wait for the completion message, follow the page's restart instructions, and check that Read Pico displays the CrossLink Pixel interface.
